IT Support Service
By far the biggest part of my work, IT Support includes troubleshooting, installation, networking, Internet and email, general advice and routine maintenance. I have worked for over eight hundred clients since I set up CompuTech in 1989 - see my Client List here. My fees for computer support are £26 per hour, and there is no call-out charge or VAT.
PAT Testing
Since 2006, I have been providing a professional PAT Testing service. The in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment, or 'PAT Testing' as it is usually called, is the procedure whereby electrical equipment, normally in the workplace, is formally inspected and tested for electrical safety. An organisation would have this work carried out, usually on an annual basis, to demonstrate to bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive that they are actively making sure that their electrical equipment is, in simple terms, 'safe, well-maintained and fit for the purpose for which it is being used' (which is a legal requirement). I am City and Guilds qualified in PAT Testing, and fully insured.
